A recent study published in the Spine Journal found that walking over 30 minutes a day, at least 3 times a week led to lower rates of low back pain in the population studied. This research reaffirms that physical activity seems to lead to better back health, as well as better overall health. Walking is a simple, low-impact way to maintain physical health. As long as your physician clears you for physical activity, walking seems to help keep low back pain in check.
